Learn all the basics in a small group from
our expert instructors. The class is set up to
get you surfing on your own quickly, correctly
and safely. You will obtain many years of surfing
knowledge in a month.
Learn how to paddle out, catch a wave, stand
up, turn and do tricks like the swithcfoot and
nose ride. Find out about ocean conditions and the
best equipment for you.
Discover travel to exotic beaches, safe
places to practice and surfings mysterious
etiquette!
The instructors will be in the water with you,
showing you how to handle the board, helping you
paddle out and catch waves.
Intermediate swimming skills are required.
Please bring a wetsuit if you get cold easily
(wetsuit rentals and the best deals on new
wetsuits are available at Dive N' Surf in
Redondo Beach 310-372-8423).
A safe BZ softsurfboard is provided for your
use. Try different size boards to see which fits
you best. Class includes a rash guard (lycra surfing
shirt) and T-shirt.
The class runs for two hours during 4 Sat. or
4 Sundays. Class times: 10:00am - 12:00pm.
You are guaranteed to ride a wave your
first lesson!
Location: south of the Hermosa Beach Pier
at the 10th street L.A. County Lifeguard Tower.
Parking meters or lot available on 11th street.
Please show up in a bathing suit and bring a
towel, sweatshirt, slippers and water.
Fee for one session (4 - two hour
classes): $274.00
(Hermosa Beach residents take $10. off prices.

Where to park and what to bring:
Parking is available on 11th street at the
meters or in the parking lot. Drop off is
available at 10th street and the Strand, but
someone must stay in the car.
Please show up in a swim suit and bring a towel,
sweatshirt, sweatpants, slippers, water and a
snack. Wetsuits are advised if you get cold
easily.
